”When performance is measured, performance improves. When performance is measured and reported, the rate of improvement accelerates.” — Thomas S. Monson
Looking back at the year and writing down in your journal about all the progress you have made improves your sense of self accomplishment, boosts your confidence and increase your motivation for new actions towards your goals and dreams for the next year.
We all know that the ultimate goal, deep root desire of every human being is to feel good. So what makes us feel good? The feeling of balance and harmony with internal self, isn't it?
And what can give us that feeling?
When we are contributing, doing something good, moving forward, growing, learning, etc. - it all makes us feel good, are you with me?
“Your future growth and progress are now based in your understanding about the difference between the two ways in which you can measure yourself: against an ideal, which puts you in what I call ‘the GAP,’ and against your starting point, which puts you in ‘the GAIN,’ appreciating all that you’ve accomplished.” - Dan Sullivan
When we look at what we don't have or what we didn't accomplish, it makes us feel bad, puts us in the position of missing out and losing in our life, which doesn't help with motivation, progress or even mental health.
When we look at what we have accomplished - where we were in the beginning of the year and where we are now, we see all the progress. It puts us in the winning position, we train the brain to look for accomplishments, therefore we become in the gain, and we get fuel, energy to start winning even more.
“The future isn’t a reality—it’s a projection. And because it’s not reality, it can’t be part of any real measurement of your progress. The only way to measure goals is backward, against the past. Use the reality of where you currently are and measure backward from there to the reality of where you started.” - Dan Sullivan
I personally journal every day and I track my progress daily and weekly, then at the end of each months I write down my monthly wins/progress. That way it is easy to recall all wins for the year. I find it is way harder to recall wins if I don't journal. So if you haven't started journaling yet, I highly recommend to start right now. Journaling helps with recording your gratitudes, accomplishments, create clear vision for the future and how to get there.
So looking back at my personal wins/accomplishments/progress I came to this list of the most important achievements for me 👇:
🏃🏻♀️ 3 marathons — all of them BQ with huge extra room for my age group (fastest for the year 3:09); first trail race ever - 30K in Moab
🌊 3 vacations by the ocean: Mexico, Hawaii, Dominicana
👩🏻🎓 got certified as NLP Business Practitioner and Coach; additional running courses; 1 year of life coaching with Dr. Benjamin Hardy, upgraded for another year + signed up for Tony Robbins Inner Circle Coaching and I love it all.
📚 35 out of planned 50 books ✅
💸 1.5x income growth in comparison to last year
👩🏻💻 worked with 28 clients this year, among them lots of positive reviews, loyal and happy clients
🧘🏻♀️ daily meditation (356 days)
💰new paid IG collabs
✈️ sent myself to my first business trip and for the first time flew by myself in the airplane (for someone may sound silly — for me - personal win)
It is very important to track the progress, it increases the feeling of self accomplishment and reduces the feelings of imposter syndrome. And it is not important how big or small your wins are, they all should be recordered and they have to be significant to you.
Next step is to make a next year plan.
If you want to improve your quality of life, identify and overcome limiting beliefs that hold you back from reaching your full potential, with my help you can reach the level of success that you dream about by creating a massive action plan to fit your needs, goals and lifestyle.

So which one are you choosing for yourself: the life of incredible adventure or status quo?
Let me help you get from where you are now to where you want to be and just imagine, how incredible it will make you feel.
